Exhibition MORKK “zwischen heute”

Opening on 7 November 2025 at 6 p.m.
FABRIK DER KÜNSTE
Kreuzbrook 12, 20537 Hamburg

What is today? History repeats itself. Time does not really serve as a reliable orientation. Is everything moving in circles?

Repetitions are recognized because they refer to traces of memory.
Memories are fragmented, as for example childhood memories.

We construct a consistent narrative across the gaps when we fill the spaces between our fragments of memory – but with what?
What lies between repetitions and memory traces?

The artist group MORKK, consisting of Torsten Maul, Matthias Oppermann, Zita Rauschgold, Hanna Knirsch and Petra Kost, seeks beyond the familiar what can be newly captured in images. Their painting makes the atmospheric density and ambiguity of the in-between space and in-between time tangible.

The exhibition will be open from 8 to 9 November 2025, daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
On these days, a special event will take place at 3 p.m.
